• The paper "Labor Informality and the Incentive Effects of Social Security: Evidence from a Health Reform in Uruguay" by Marcelo Bérgolo and Guillermo Cruces was awarded the First Place in the Premio Interamericano a la Investigación en Seguridad Social 2011 from the Inter-American Center for Social Security Studies (CIESS). 

• Emmanuel Vazquez was awarded the Mención Especial of the Asociación Argentina de Economía Política within the Premio al Investigador Joven 2011 for his paper "Segregación Escolar por Nivel Socioeconómico. Midiendo el Fenómeno y Explorando sus Determinantes".  

• Pablo Gluzmann and Martín Guzmán won the 5° Premio Anual de Investigación Económica “Dr. Raúl Prebisch” awarded by the Central Bank of Argentina, in the Young Professionals category.

• Leonardo Gasparini was awarded with the Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship 2008 for his studies on poverty and income inequality in Latin America.

• Guillermo Cruces won the contest Ayudas a la Investigación 2007 of the Fundación Carolina of Spain for the project "Encuesta de Percepciones Distributivas y Redistribución".

• Luis Casanova received the first prize in the contest "Una nueva mirada a la informalidad laboral. Módulo de Informalidad Laboral EPH-C 2005". MTEySS ans The World Bank. The paper was written jointly with Ignacio Apella.

• Andrés Ham was selected to participate in the Foro de Juventud de la Consulta de San José, carried out by the IADB, INCAE and the Copenhagen Consensus Center, in Alajuela, Costa Rica, 22-24 October 2007.

• Federico Gutiérrez got the first mention of the Premio a Jóvenes Economistas for his paper "Dinámica Salarial y Ocupacional: Análisis de Panel para Argentina 1998-2002". Working Paper Nr. 11 from CEDLAS.

• Federico Cerimedo received the Premio Salama 2004 for his paper "Duración del Desempleo y Ciclo Económico en la Argentina". Working Paper Nr. 8 from CEDLAS.

• Francisco Haimovich and Hernán Winkler received the first prize in the meeting of the Network on Inequality and Poverty 2004. Working Paper Nr. 24 from CEDLAS.

• Leonardo Gasparini, Mariana Marchionni and Walter Sosa Escudero received the Premio Arcor 2001 for their paper "La Distribución del Ingreso en la Argentina".
